In this magic land we honour our beings of light that even when they are faraway, we carry them in our souls day by day and night by night. Turkish and Mexican friends became one family, blessing together the memories of all who have departed, and remain in our spirits, on November 2019.

For few days ending October and beginning November, they are coming home and we celebrate in a sacred and joyful ritual, their presence. Placing offerings are a way to celebrate their arrival for few days among us. Each one has certain elements with great meaning:

– Cempasúchil flowers to perfume the path of our beloved deceased, when coming home.  

-Corncobs to remind them our sacred Mexican plant. We are made of it.

-Seasonal fruits to refresh their pilgrimage.

 -Mezcal, the agave nectar spirit to keep warm our hearts.

– Pan de Muerto (bread of the dead) specially made for the family gathering.

-Copal (pre-Hispanic incense) to bless their presence. 

-Candles to illuminate their journey when coming, and when leaving.

-Tears of love to keep their memories alive…
